Officially licensed by Bandai, a total of 12 different Puella Magi Madoka Magica Soul Gem Straps were released (each sold separately) ~ five "image" aka "character" version Soul Gems (one for each of the main girls) containing carved plastic images of each girl inside, five "empty" or normal version Soul Gems (one for each of the main girls) with nothing inside, one black or "impure" version of Sayaka's Soul Gem and one Grief Seed. The Grief Seed and Black Soul Gem are considered rare because intentionally less were produced compared to the others in the assortment. The Soul Gem charm itself is made of plastic (PVC, ABS) and measures approximately 2.2" tall.

This is the empty version of Kaname Madoka's Soul Gem, meaning there is nothing inside the translucent pink plastic - the "gem" is hollow on the inside. It is a perfect fit for an accessory, cosplay prop or collectible.
